Cluj City VIPS was initially a university project for graduating master course Global Media at Babes Bolyai University, Political, Administrative and Communication Sciencies Faculty. Target: Identifying carreer models for the youngs to be inspired in their proffesional evolution. Interviewed persons: Head of Church Bartolomeu Anania, Academy President Ionel Haiduc, Head of University Babes-Bolyai Andrei Marga, Transylvania Bank President Horia Ciorcila, Head of SCR Industrial Group Stefan Vuza, Specialist in Political Communication Vasile Dancu, Businessman and Politician Marius Nicoara, Head of the Local Police Ioan Pacurar.
Charismatic leader, “a Master of the Eye Gaze”
“By command – authority understand the qualities of wisdom, justice, humanity, courage and the severity of the commander. By moral influence understand what determines the harmony between people and leaders, making people follow him in life and death, without fear of endanger [1] “says Sun Tzu, author of ancient Asian Art of War manual. Throughout history, different types of societies were concerned about the influence exercised by those endowed with the ability to dominate the communities. “Science is driving the same, regardless of time and space. Times change. Technology advances. Cultures are different. But management science principles are the same everywhere – from the ancient Greeks, the Old Testament, the armies of the past two hundred years, the leaders of modern Europe, priests of local churches or businesses that dominate global economy ” [2] James Maxwell argues in his book The 21 Laws Supreme Leader. In the early twentieth century by Max Weber, sociology rediscovered
valence charismatic personalities of exceptional. Currently, the charismatic leader is a reality of contemporary society, they present at all levels. This is a human individual has a set of impressive personal qualities. “Charisma is seen in the light of superlative attributes sometimes absolutely contradictory, such as rendered presence, aura, charm, safety, intelligence, affection, energy, magnetism, persuasive force, oratorical talent, sympathy, power, attraction, seduction [3] “says political psychologist Alexandre Dorna in volume Charismatic Leader.
Similarly, sociologist Serge Moscovici considers that this charisma “gives the owner sign an unusual values but at the same time, output seal of action ” [4] . For Moscovici, the charismatic leader is a true hypnotist, “a master of eye gaze and an artist, own suggestion tools”. In fact, the French sociologist believes that prestige is a type of “hypnotic power “and those who possess it have the” faculty of suggestive crowds”. Prestige is, therefore, “a mysterious power, a kind of spell that induce admiration and
respect “, giving the holder a” rising irresistible”. Alexandre Dorna goes further and discover a seemingly trivolous tone of the charismatic leader, especially in the political realm, a certain “obsession to please”. Angle of really seductive, the leader can become a “political Don Juan.” “The man whose popularity and notoriety is based on” grace “, sets an amazing seductive relationship with his neighbor. It’s like a political Don Juan: not no one escapes him. In both cases, we find the same obsession to please, but to Don Juan contrast, curiously, has the charismatic leader lucidity and practicality stakes pursuit. Even if the affection in relations are its main asset, it does not allow blinded by narcissism ” [5] .
The leader carries emotional dominance by focusing collective affectivity on it. It’s a mutually beneficial exchange: he exploits the affection, social group transferred responsibilities. “Leader inspires fascination that is the result of close intimate relationships that developing with his followers. Not without effort, charismatic aura of feed admiration and allegiance of the masses ” [6] . “Because of his social intuition, he proves able to focus on its group affection”, group leader who transferred his authority to take effective decision”, to “restore human confidence” and “to encourage latent desires ” [7]. Charismatic people like all, because they can easily create the illusion of familiar behavior. “One of Charismatic leader’s main qualities proves to be the manner in which he addresses the others, whether it is known, or unknown. He has the ability to make rich and poor makes feel good on the same basis. Established with all soothing contact in a very short time ” [8]. What is the irresistible attraction exercised by exceptional persons? “Charismatic leader proves contagious dynamism and causes an irresistible attraction” [11] that is conscious, because he intuitively perceive the emotional reactions of others. Basically, he has the ability to dominate the emotional crowd that has a “form of special knowledge” to control their own emotions, releasing, simultaneously strong emotions on the outside ” [12]. James Maxwell called this rule “Connection Law.” “Effective leaders know they must first touch the hearts of men before they require a helping hand. This is the connection law. All great speakers know this truth and act instinctively in this regard. You can not determine the people to act before you move. The heart comes before hand ” [13]. Very important is the sense of potency that leader creates. “All the charismatic experience highlights a major feature: the leader has no personal magic wand, but has the ability to turn dreams into authority, expectations into power, word into action ” [14]. This “leadership”, believes Dorna is “an energy transformer, characterized especially by a remarkable power of inspiration, an attitude inclined to view consult and take account of the group and, in particular, lacks enthusiasm weakness ” [15].
Within the economic environment, the effect is similar. “When a leader has managed to establish a link with his people, this will see how the organization works. Employees are motivated by loyalty and a strong
ethics. Vision is a leading human aspiration. The impact is incredible, ” [16]. After Dorna, the perfect leader is to learn a list of skills: “rise, safety, value, resistance to stress, emotional control ” [17]. In addition, it is required to have a “charismatic attitude” [18] marked by “enthusiasm, energy and attraction” [19] , necessary to fulfill the typical roles: to inspire, to encourage and motivate. And last but not least, he is a master of “charismatic dialogue” [20] “whose secret is not necessarily technical but emotional communication to be established by word use” [21] .
Much of the qualities listed here you find in the Cluj City personalities interviewed. Although different in many ways, what they share together is the performance and prestige. Communities often live in the midst of social, cultural, political or administrative without them know only vaguely about those who care for us because the city’s culture and development to be at high parameters of competence. Who are our contemporaries and what did they do? Are questions that we know not always respond, because areas of excellence are many and diverse, and we are interested only slice that toil. Here, however, a more accurate answer to these questions and perplexities of our Listes Adriana comes to give us in his book recently published Charismatic Cluj City VIPs (Eikon Publishing House, 2007). She gathered between the covers of her book full of picturesque eight biographies of successful people of color – she says charismatic, but business does not really know how to be charismatic – Omen who said on national or international cultural scientific, economic or political, as stated in the Preface. These four men of culture, academics and academic Bartolomeu Anania, Ionel Haiduc, Andrei Marga and Vasile Dancu who follows three of the leading businessmen of Cluj Ciorcila Horia Stefan Marius Nicoara and Vuza and finally head of the Police Inspectorate of Cluj County, John Pacurar. Common components of personality is work, perseverance, that amounted to the highest levels of performance starting down very low, hence their effort, investment intelligence, hard work and tenacity propelled him to the highest posts , honors or leverage decision. Lives are exceptional results, which therefore falls in personal success and on their own people undoubtedly on the community. If Mr. Stefan Vuza leading companies with competence and successful company, if Mr. Horia Ciorcila wise decisions for BT, their results, the effects we feel we are, or so expected. Also, political decisions taken by Marius Nicoara and Vasile Dancu, people who fight against corruption and increasing state budget, can contribute substantially to improve our living conditions. We are dealing therefore with the guys put in the service of public interest and not haunted by chimera politicians enrichment at all costs.
Adriana Listes is a young journalist very diligent and concerned about her career, I had a student in a Master of Journalism and has taken only ten of the group. She understands not to leave things in their will, without being controlled and directed the most valuable assets of youth: curiosity, desire to know and make more professional. The medallions that portrays, it exceeds the disability and Trace debutants to

Traim adeseori in mijlocul unei comunitati sociale, culturale, politice sau administrative fara sa-i cunoastem decat vag pe cei care au grija de noi pentru ca orasul, cultura si dezvoltarea lui sa fie la inalti parametri de competenta. Cine ne sunt contemporanii si ce au facut ei? Sunt intrebari la care nu stim raspunde intotdeauna, caci domeniile de excelenta sunt multiple si diverse, iar pe noi ne intereseaza doar felia pe care trudim. Iata insa ca un raspuns mai exact la aceste intrebari si nedumeriri ale noastre vine sa ne dea Adriana Listes in cartea sa recent aparuta Clujeni carismatici (Ed. Eikon, 2007). Ea aduna intre copertile cartii sale opt biografii pline de pitoresc si culoare ale unor oameni de succes – ea le spune carismatici, dar in domeniul afacerilor nu prea stim sa existe carisma – omeni care s-au afirmat pe plan national sau international in domeniul cultural, stiintific, economic sau politic, cum afirma in Prefata. Este vorba de patru oameni de cultura, universitari si academici precum Bartolomeu Anania, Ionel Haiduc, Andrei Marga si Vasile Dancu carora le urmeaza trei dintre cei mai importanti oameni de afaceri ai Clujului, Horia Ciorcila, Stefan Vuza si Marius Nicoara si, in sfarsit, seful Inspectoratului de Politie al Judetului Cluj, Ioan Pacurar. Componenta comuna a personalitatilor este munca, perseverenta, faptul ca s-au ridicat pana la inalte niveluri de performanta plecand de jos, chiar foarte de jos, de unde efortul propriu, investitia de inteligenta, munca si tenacitate i-a propulsat pana la cele mai inalte posturi, onoruri sau parghii de decizie. Sunt vieti cu rezultate exceptionale, in care succesul personal se rasfrange in mod indubitabil si asupra conationalilor lor, asupra colectivitatii. Daca dl. Stefan Vuza conduce cu competenta firme si intreprinderi de succes, daca dl. Horia Ciorcila ia decizii intelepte pentru Banca Transilvania, rezultatul lor, efectele produse le vom simti si noi, sau cel putin asa asteptam. De asemenea, deciziile politice luate de Marius Nicoara sau Vasile Dancu, oameni care lupta impotriva coruptiei si pentru sporirea bugetului de stat, pot contribui in mod substantial la ameliorarea conditiilor noastre de trai. Avem de-a face prin urmare cu insi pusi in slujba interesului obstesc si nu cu politicieni bantuiti de himera imbogatirii cu orice pret.
Adriana Listes este o tanara jurnalista foarte sarguincioasa si preocupata de cariera ei, pe care am avut-o cursanta la un Master de Jurnalism si care a luat singurul zece din grupa. Ea intelege sa nu lase lucrurile in voia lor, fara a fi controlate si dirijate de atuurile cele mai de pret ale tineretii: curiozitate, dorinta de a sti si a face mai mult, profesionalism. In medalioanele pe care le creioneaza, ea depaseste handicapul si tracul debutantilor spre a aborda o linie de expunere clara, precisa, plina de dinamism, cu paragrafe scurte, mergand direct la tinta. Scoala jurnalismului american se simte atat in conceptia generala, cat si in liniile de detaliu. Elemente biografice, anii de scoala, viata de familie, devenirea intelectuala sau profesionala trimit spre o intrebare pivot: momentul schimbarii, saltul care avantajeaza. O bursa in strainatate, o initiativa, o intalnire cu un personaj care iti poate hotari destinul, o afacere de succes, intrarea in politica, toate pot favoriza ascensiunea profesionala, iar biografiile lor pot deveni modele pentru altii, pot incita si stimula, dupa reteta folosita si in interbelic, arta de a reusi in viata.
